Loses rotation, active roster spot
The Dodgers optioned White to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Impact
White's demotion doesn't come as a major surprise after manager Dave Roberts said after Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Nationals that the team would stick with a five-man rotation following Andrew Heaney's (shoulder) return from the 15-day injured list ahead of Wednesday's series finale, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. While Heaney was on the shelf, White had served as the Dodgers' No. 5 starter and had turned in a 3.56 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 30.1 innings over his six starts since his late-June promotion from Triple-A. White should be the next man up to join the rotation if the Dodgers lose one of their five starters to an injury at some point in the second half.

Submits first quality start
White didn't factor into the decision during Tuesday's 8-3 loss to Washington, allowing two runs on nine hits with four strikeouts in six innings.
Impact
White settled down after surrendering two runs on three hits in the first inning to blank Washington over the next five frames despite failing to register a 1-2-3 inning and was in line for his first win as a starter until the bullpen blew the lead in the eighth. The six innings represent a season high for the 27-year-old while the 98 pitches are his second-highest total, and he's now permitted three runs or fewer in nine of 10 turns. White has posted a solid 3.32 ERA in 21.2 innings across four July starts but has been bumped from the rotation with Andrew Heaney set to return from a shoulder injury next week.

Takes no-hitter into sixth inning
White didn't factor in the decision against San Francisco on Thursday despite allowing just one hit and two walks over five-plus scoreless innings. He struck out one batter.
Impact
White certainly pitched well enough to earn a win for the first time since mid-May -- in fact, he didn't give up his first hit until the opening batter of the sixth inning. It's doubtful that the right-hander would have been allowed a shot at history even if he had maintained the no-hitter since he had already thrown 78 pitches through five frames, but he was in line for the victory until the Los Angeles bullpen surrendered five runs in the seventh. White isn't certain to stick in the rotation once Andrew Heaney (shoulder) returns to action -- which could happen as soon as next week -- but White has fared well when called upon this season, logging a 3.78 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 50 innings.

Surrenders six runs in loss
White (1-2) took the loss during Tuesday's 7-6 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals, allowing six runs on 10 hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
Impact
White retired the first five Cardinals but proceeded to surrender five straight hits and three runs in the second followed by another run in the third and two more runs on five baserunners in the fourth. The 27-year-old's 24 game score constitutes his worst start in eight turns while the six runs allowed surpasses the total from his last four starts combined, and his ERA jumped nearly a full run from 3.38 to 4.20. White isn't slated for another turn prior to the All-Star break though he could be utilized in relief over the weekend.

Throws career-high 102 pitches
White did not factor in the decision against Colorado on Wednesday, pitching 5.2 innings and allowing one unearned run on one hit and four walks while striking out six batters.
Impact
White had some control issues in the outing, but he held Colorado hitless for 5.1 frames before Brendan Rodgers broke the spell with a single to center. Cody Bellinger committed an error on the play that allowed Kris Bryant to score from first base, and White was lifted after retiring one more batter. He ended up with a no-decision thanks to a late-game Dodgers comeback, but the righty hurler probably deserved a better outcome for his superb outing. White has found a home in the rotation due to injuries to Walker Buehler (elbow) and Andrew Heaney (shoulder), and he's been effective with a 2.22 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 26:11 K:BB over 28.1 innings in six appearances since May 26.

Ready to start Wednesday's finale
White is scheduled to start Wednesday's home game against the Rockies.
Impact
Though White was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday against Colorado, he won't be dropped from the rotation. Instead, the Dodgers summoned Ryan Pepiot from Triple-A Oklahoma City to make a spot start Tuesday simply because manager Dave Roberts wanted to expect the five members of his rotation an additional day of rest in advance of their respective outings this week. White will return to the mound on five days' rest Wednesday, and he'll have another five-day break ahead of his final start before the All-Star break thanks to a team off day next Monday.

Still looks to be part of rotation
White was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday against the Rockies, but he still appears likely to remain in the rotation this week, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.
Impact
Ryan Pepiot was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to pick up the start Tuesday, but his addition doesn't appear to be the result of an injury or role change to any of the other five members of the rotation. Stephen notes that Tuesday marks the 15th game in a stretch of 20 contests in as many days for the Dodgers, so manager Dave Roberts may simply be looking to extend White and the other four members of the rotation an extra day of rest amid the busy schedule. Assuming that's the case, White should still be on track to pick up a home start against the Rockies in Wednesday's series finale.

Not starting Tuesday
White will not make his scheduled start Tuesday against the Rockies, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Impact
It's unclear whether the righty is hurt, or if the Dodgers just want to add an arm (Ryan Pepiot) to the rotation to give the rest of the starters an extra day of rest. White has a 3.93 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 34.1 innings this season.
