Michael Chavis - Scratched from lineupChavis was scratched from the lineup for Saturday's game against Baltimore for undisclosed reasons.
ImpactChavis is competing for at-bats at several spots around the diamond this spring. He's struggled to a .228/.259/.386 line in 85 major-league games over the last two seasons, so he needs every chance he can get in Grapefruit League action to make his case for playing time. It's unclear if Saturday's setback will keep him off the field for an extended period.

Jose Miranda - Back in actionMiranda (jaw) entered Saturday's game against Atlanta as a substitute, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
ImpactMiranda left Friday's game against the Pirates with a bruised jaw after getting struck in the face by an errant throw, but he avoided serious injury. He's back in action just one day later, so he should be able to continue making his push for an Opening Day roster spot. Whether or not he'll be given a legitimate chance to break camp with the team is unclear, but he could eventually be part of the plan to replace Josh Donaldson at third base.

Aaron Sabato - Headed to minor-league campSabato was reassigned to minor-league spring training Saturday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
ImpactSabato began spring training as a non-roster invitee and went 0-for-9 with a run, a walk and six strikeouts across six Grapefruit League games. He appears likely to start the regular season at High-A Cedar Rapids after he slashed .253/.402/.613 with eight homers, 21 runs and 15 RBI across 22 appearances with the club last year.

Spencer Steer - Reassigned to minor-league campSteer was reassigned to minor-league spring training Saturday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
ImpactSteer appeared in four Grapefruit League games to begin the year and went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts. The 24-year-old hit .241 with 14 homers, 45 runs, 42 RBI and four stolen bases across 65 games at Double-A Wichita last year, and he'll likely begin 2022 in Wichita or at Triple-A St. Paul.

Austin Martin - Sent to minor-league campMartin was reassigned to minor-league camp Saturday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
ImpactMartin served as a non-roster invitee early in spring training, and he went 3-for-9 with a homer, four runs, two walks and five strikeouts across five Grapefruit League appearances. The 23-year-old finished the 2021 season at Double-A Wichita after being traded to Minnesota at the deadline, and he'll likely begin the 2022 campaign in Wichita or at Triple-A St. Paul.
MARCH 26, 2022ROTOWIRE
Royce Lewis - Optioned to Triple-ALewis was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
ImpactLewis suffered a torn ACL ahead of the 2021 campaign but joined the Twins for major-league spring training this year. The 22-year-old went 1-for-8 with a run, a stolen base and three strikeouts across four Grapefruit League appearances this year, and it's not very surprising to see him sent to the minors following his lengthy layoff. Lewis is still one of Minnesota's top prospect, and it's possible that he could make his major-league debut at some point in 2022 if he performs well in the minors.
