Freddy Peralta - Cruises to fifth win Peralta (5-3) earned the win Sunday against the Twins, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out five.
Impact The only blemish on the Milwaukee ace's 90-pitch performance was a Royce Lewis solo homer in the fourth inning. Peralta has been a dependable starter over his last six outings, going 4-2 with a 2.78 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB across 27.1 innings. Through 55.2 total frames, the 28-year-old sports a 2.59 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with a 9.2 K/9. Peralta is currently scheduled to make his next start against the feeble Pirates in Pittsburgh next weekend.

Royce Lewis - Cracks first long ball Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Brewers.
Impact The Minnesota third baseman smacked a 417-foot solo shot off Milwaukee starter Freddy Peralta in the fourth inning for his 33rd career homer. Perhaps this performance will break Lewis out of his recent funk. He entered this contest on a cold spell, slashing just .200/.263/.229 across 38 plate appearances, since returning from a left hamstring strain May 6.

Zebby Matthews - Concedes four runs in season debut Matthews (0-1) took the loss Sunday at Milwaukee, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks over three innings. He struck out five.
Impact The Minnesota right-hander floundered in this 71-pitch outing despite the Brewers not managing to knock an extra-base hit. Matthews, who sported a 6.7 percent walk rate over 32.2 innings at Triple-A, struggled with his command, issuing an uncharacteristic three free passes. Despite this rough appearance, Matthews should stick in the Twins rotation given his stellar 1.93 ERA at St. Paul prior to his call-up. The 24-year-old currently lines up to make his next start against at home against the Royals next weekend.

Through 13.1 total frames, the 31-year-old has pitched to a 2.70 ERA and 17:7 K:BB across 17 appearances.
