Jorge Polanco - Knocks two home runs Polanco went 2-for-4 with two homers, a walk and four RBI in Sunday's 7-5 win over Houston.
Impact Polanco belted a solo homer in the fifth inning off starter Lance McCullers and later extended Minnesota's lead with a three-run blast in the sixth. The 28-year-old infielder has found some extra pop in August, knocking five homers with 11 RBI in seven games this month. He's up to 20 long balls this season, two shy of his career-high 22 set in 2019. Polanco is slashing .272/.333/.484 through 444 plate appearances.

Alex Colomé - Notches fifth save Colome struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning and earned a save over the Astros on Sunday.
Impact Colome has converted all three save opportunities since Taylor Rogers (finger) was placed on the injured list at the end of July. He's riding a 4.1-inning scoreless streak, lowering his season ERA to 4.32 through 41.2 innings. He should continue getting most of the save chances as long as Rogers is out.

Kenta Maeda - Fans five in win Maeda (5-4) allowed three runs on six hits and three walks over five innings Sunday, striking out five and earning a win against Houston.
Impact With a 1.80 WHIP and 100 pitches through five innings, it definitely wasn't Maeda's most efficient outing. He allowed RBI base hits in each of the first, fourth and fifth innings but still managed to escape with a win. The veteran righty has allowed at least three runs in four of his last five outings, raising his season ERA to 4.69 through 19 starts. Maeda is lined up to face the Rays at home next weekend.

Lance McCullers Jr. - Yields four runs in loss McCullers (9-3) allowed four runs on eight hits and three walks over 4.2 innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against Minnesota.
Impact McCullers allowed two homers in Sunday's loss, including a two-run shot by Miguel Sano in the fourth inning. It was his shortest outing since June 15 and the first time he's allowed multiple home runs since May 6. He now owns a 3.22 ERA and a 128:54 K:BB through 109 innings. McCullers is projected to face the Angels on the road next weekend.
