Tyler Duffey - Picks up third save Duffey worked a perfect inning while striking out two en route to his third save of the season in Wednesday's 3-0 win over Cleveland.
Impact With Alex Colome having picked up saves on three consecutive nights (and needing 49 pitches to do so), the Twins figured to head in a different direction at closer if the need arose Wednesday. As luck would have it, it did, and Duffey answered the call. He'll likely return to his setup role once the Twins feel that Colome is ready to go again.

Triston McKenzie - Keeps hot streak going McKenzie (4-6) allowed one run on three hits and one walk with seven strikeouts over six innings, taking a hard-luck loss in Wednesday's 3-0 defeat to the Twins.
Impact McKenzie deserved a better fate Wednesday, but Minnesota starter Joe Ryan took a perfect game into the seventh inning and Cleveland ended the contest with just one hit allowed. Even with the Twins' rookie hogging the spotlight, McKenzie deserves major plaudits for what has been an incredible pace of late. In his last four starts, the lanky right-hander has a K:BB of 32:3 and an ERA of 1.00 over 27 innings. His situation with regard to run support is sub-optimal, but McKenzie is certainly holding up his end of the bargain.

Joe Ryan - Takes perfect game into seventh Ryan (1-1) allowed just one hit and struck out four through seven shutout innings, picking up his first career win in Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Cleveland.
Impact The Minnesota rookie retired the first 19 batters he faced before Amed Rosario broke up the party in the seventh with a single. The base hit was the only damage to Ryan's line, as he had Cleveland thoroughly perplexed for the entire outing and did not issue a free pass. While the right-hander doesn't possess wipeout velocity, his tendency to challenge hitters and an arm angle that makes the ball appear as if it's coming from his shoulder make him an interesting pitcher to watch. It may be too late for the 25-year-old to make an impact on the 2021 Twins, but this is the type of start that the brass will remember when assembling next season's roster.
