Max Kepler - Late scratch Sunday Kepler was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals for unspecified reasons.
Impact The 31-year-old was penciled in to start in right field but was pulled from the lineup shortly before first pitch. Impact Correa was placed on the IL on July 20 due to right plantar fasciitis. The Twins weren't initially expecting him to miss much time, but Correa's return date keeps getting pushed back while he's continued to deal with soreness after running. He at least is making slow progress as he was able to increase his intensity Friday. He may not return until sometime in September as a result.

Impact Wallner entered Saturday 2-for-21 across his last nine games, though both of those knocks were extra-base hits. Considering he hit safely in eight straight games from Aug. 4-13, it's a little disappointing he couldn't sustain that momentum. The 26-year-old is up to nine homers, 25 RBI, 19 runs scored, three stolen bases, 12 doubles and a .266/.395/.597 slash line across 152 plate appearances this season. He continues to play regularly versus right-handed pitchers, splitting time between left field and designated hitter.
