Brett Anderson - Yields one run in victory Anderson (4-5) allowed one run on three hits and a walk over 5.2 innings Sunday, striking out three and earning a win over Atlanta.

Impact Anderson was dominant Sunday, cruising through five scoreless frames to start the outing. He was charged with a run in the sixth after John Curtiss let an inherited runner cross home. The 33-year-old righty has been on fire lately, allowing just three runs through 20.2 innings (1.31 ERA) over his last four appearances. Anderson is lined up to face the Giants at home next week.

Charlie Morton - Takes loss in quality start Morton (10-4) allowed two runs on three hits over six innings Sunday, striking out six and taking a loss against Milwaukee.

Impact Morton served up a solo shot to Willy Adames in the first inning but turned in a few perfect innings after that. The Brewers pushed across another run in the fifth on a Jackie Bradley groundout. Over his previous eight starts, the veteran righty was 5-0 with a 2.70 ERA through 50 innings. Morton is now sporting a 3.69 ERA and a 141:42 K:BB this season. He's projected to face the Nationals at home next week.

Josh Hader - Notches 22nd save Hader struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning Sunday, earning a save over Atlanta.

Impact Since earning his last save on July 8, Hader has been tagged with five runs across just 3.2 innings. He bounced back Sunday, needing just 11 pitches to secure the win over Atlanta. The 27-year-old southpaw is now 22-for-23 in save chances with a 1.83 ERA on the year.

Hunter Strickland - Heads to COVID-19 IL The Brewers placed Strickland (illness) on the COVID-19 injured list Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Even though Strickland became the latest Brewers player known to have tested positive for the coronavirus, Milwaukee waited a day before officially deactivating him. Milwaukee called up Blaine Hardy from Triple-A Nashville to fill Strickland's spot in the bullpen and on the 26-man active roster and 40-man roster.
