Picks up third win Clevinger (3-3) earned the win Wednesday over the Guardians. He allowed two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five over six innings.

Impact Clevinger won his first two starts of the year, then went six outings without a victory before snapping the skid Wednesday. This was his third quality start of the season, but the 10 baserunners he allowed matched a season high. He's had fairly mixed results so far with a 4.56 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 40:22 K:BB across 47.1 innings this season. Clevinger is projected to get another start against his former team next week in Cleveland.

Impact Clevinger allowed just three hits in the contest, but two went for extra bases, with a solo homer and a two-run double accounting for all the scoring against him. The right-hander otherwise put together a solid performance, finishing with his second quality start of the campaign. Clevinger continues to be in enigma in terms of strikeouts -- he's now fanned three or fewer batters in half of his eight starts, though he's racked up seven or more punchouts in three of the other four outings. That's part of a pattern of overall inconsistency from the veteran that has led to mostly uninspiring numbers this season, including a 4.79 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 35:18 K:BB over 41.1 frames.

Impact Outside of a three-run home run by TJ Friedl in the fifth, Clevinger exited Saturday's start relatively unscathed, striking out seven and only handing out one free pass. He was unable to keep control of the basepaths giving up a pair of steals to Jonathan India in separate innings. Clevinger has cooled off after a strong start to the season, giving up 15 runs and six homers in his last four starts, while taking the loss three times. Though Clevinger posted a 12.07 K/9 in 2019, he has yet to return to his previous form after suffering a torn meniscus in 2020. However, Clevinger remains a player worth monitoring moving forward in case he finds his groove.

Impact Clevinger delivered one of his better performances of the early season Sunday after he knocked around for six runs his last time out. The 32-year-old was taken deep on back-to-back at-bats from Taylor Walls and Luke Raley in the fourth but otherwise did not face much pressure on the bases and tied a season-high with eight strikeouts. Clevinger has now given up five home runs over this last three starts after not allowing any in his three outings of the year and has managed to complete six innings just once. He now holds a 4.60 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 26:15 K:BB over 29.1 innings and lines up to face the Reds in Cincinnati next weekend.
