Jordan Walker - Homers in final spring game Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's Grapefruit league finale against the Astros.
Impact Walker's first and only home run this spring went 413 feet and was measured at 111.3 mph off the bat. He also contributed a single that exited his bat at 106.5 mph. While he finished spring training on a high note, it's been a disappointing camp for Walker on the whole, as he hit only .205 with a 3:16 BB:K over 47 plate appearances. The 23-year-old will open 2026 as the Cardinals' everyday right fielder and should be offered some leash during the club's rebuilding season.

Michael McGreevy - Depressed velocity this spring McGreevy yielded one run on three hits and no walks covering five innings in Sunday's Grapefruit League start versus the Astros. He recorded five strikeouts.
Impact He served up a solo home run to Taylor Trammel, but that was the lone run the Astros were able to push across against the righty. McGreevy finished spring training with a 2.45 ERA and 16:2 K:BB over 18.1 innings, but his velocity has been down across the board. He averaged 90.8 mph with his four-seamer Sunday, down significantly from the 93 mph he averaged with the pitch in 2025. It's possible McGreevy will start throwing harder once the bright lights are on, but the lack of velocity is concerning for a guy who's already had difficulty missing bats. McGreevy will make his season debut Saturday at home against the Rays.

Tyler Zuber - Cut from Miami camp The Marlins reassigned Zuber to minor-league camp Sunday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Impact Zuber attended camp as a non-roster invitee but had drawn some early buzz after striking out three of the four batters he faced in his first Grapefruit League appearance. However, the right-hander went on to give up at least one run in three of his final four spring outings to take himself out of the running for a spot in the Opening Day bullpen. Zuber previously made 10 big-league appearances with the Mets and Marlins in 2025, pitching to an 11.25 ERA, 1.92 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB in 12 innings.

Graham Pauley - Playing third base Sunday Pauley (forearm) will start at third base and bat sixth in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
Impact After experiencing tightness in his right forearm early in camp, Pauley had been limited to serving as a designated hitter through his first nine spring games, but he's finally been given the green light to make his debut in the field. Assuming he checks out fine following Sunday's contest, Pauley will be part of the Marlins' Opening Day roster, but it's unclear if he'll be deployed as Miami's primary third baseman to begin the season. Connor Norby has outproduced Pauley so far this spring, but if Norby is needed in left field to cover for the loss of Kyle Stowers (hamstring), Pauley would have a clearer path to regular at-bats at the hot corner.

Connor Norby - Might be needed in left field Norby could see playing time in left field early in the season with Kyle Stowers (hamstring) set to begin the season on the IL, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact The 25-year-old infielder looked set to be the Marlins' starter at third base due to a spring injury to Graham Pauley (forearm), but those plans are now in flux. Norby has played left field twice in recent days during Grapefruit League action, and Pauley is expected to be cleared for defensive duty Sunday. Griffin Conine and Heriberto Hernandez are the top options in left field during Stowers' absence, but they're also at the top of the depth chart at DH. If Norby looks comfortable in the outfield, it would offer another path to keeping his bat in the lineup once Pauley's fully healthy. In 16 games this spring, Norby's batting .310 (13-for-42) with two homers and three steals, albeit with a worrisome 1:15 BB:K.

Cade Gibson - Sent to Triple-A The Marlins optioned Gibson to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Impact Gibson surrendered six runs across 8.1 innings during spring training and will miss out on the Opening Day roster. The left-hander is likely to get a look with the Marlins at some point in 2026 after posting a 2.63 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 43:21 K:BB over 54.2 innings last season.
