Impact He's now 39 years old and has played only 49 games over the last two seasons, but Cano still looks like he can do some damage at the plate. He's batting .364 (8-for-22) this spring, although he's still looking for his first homer, and Cano could see significant DH at-bats for the Mets in 2022.

Starling Marte - Flying toward Opening Day Marte went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Marlins.

Impact It's been all systems go for Marte after his late start to the spring due to oblique soreness, as the 33-year-old is batting .500 (6-for-12) with three steals in three attempts in only five games. After tying his career high with 47 stolen bases last season between Miami and Oakland, Marte could challenge for the league's SB crown once again in 2022.

Jorge Soler - Slugs first spring homer Soler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.

Impact The slugger took Chris Bassitt deep in the first inning for his first homer this spring. Soler has been getting a look in the leadoff spot for manager Don Mattingly, an unorthodox choice given his power and .316 OBP last season, but the 30-year-old did post a .354 mark in that category in 2019 for the Royals. If he sticks atop the lineup, Soler would likely trade some RBI for runs over the course of the season, but the Marlins' batting order could be fluid all year.

Impact The veteran catcher is hitting a lackluster .235 (4-for-17) this spring, but Stallings' spot at the top of the Marlins' depth chart isn't in jeopardy. The 32-year-old's defense will keep him behind the plate most days, and he did post a career-high eight homers and 53 RBI last year for the Pirates before an offseason trade.

Impact Quinn's ability to play center field could have convinced the Marlins to select his contract to keep him around in a bench role, but he didn't help his case this spring by going 1-for-12 at the plate with six strikeouts. His speed could help fantasy teams if he finds his way to playing time at some point this season, but he's a career .228/.306/.355 hitter, so that may not be particularly likely.
