Domingo González - Kicked off 40-man roster Atlanta designated Gonzalez for assignment Sunday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Impact He'll surrender his spot on the 40-man roster to right-hander Connor Seabold, whom Atlanta claimed off waivers from Tampa Bay. A 25-year-old right-hander, Gonzalez was added to Atlanta's 40-man roster over the winter but has yet to make his MLB debut. Gonzalez has spent the entire 2025 season at Triple-A Gwinnett, with whom he's logged a 3.95 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 39:19 K:BB in 41 innings out of the bullpen.

Connor Seabold - Finds home with Atlanta Atlanta claimed Seabold off waivers from Tampa Bay on Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Impact Though he'll report to Triple-A, Seabold will provide Atlanta with some more organizational starting pitching depth as the big club navigates numerous injuries to its rotation. Seabold made a pair of multi-inning relief appearances for Tampa Bay but has primarily worked out of the rotation at Triple-A Durham this season, logging a 6.49 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 57:26 K:BB across 61 innings.

Impact Baldwin will get a chance to catch his breath after he started in each of the first four games of the series with Miami -- including both ends of Saturday's doubleheader -- while going 7-for-17 with two home runs, one walk, 10 RBI and four runs. With Baldwin resting, Sean Murphy will handle the catching duties and Marcell Ozuna will get the nod at designated hitter.

Impact The left-handed-hitting Johnston was on the bench for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader while Atlanta sent a righty (Erick Fedde) to the hill, and the 28-year-old rookie will now remain out of the lineup for the finale with southpaw Joey Wentz on the mound for the opposition. Since getting his first call to the big leagues July 29, Johnston has gone just 4-for-21 with no walks and six strikeouts. He could be in danger of losing out on a strong-side platoon role if he's unable to get going at the plate soon.
