Moves to 60-day IL Beaty (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Impact Beaty has been on the injured list since early May, but he reported to Triple-A El Paso on May 24 to begin a rehab assignment. However, his rehab assignment was paused in early June, and he'll now be ineligible to return until at least early July. A better idea of his return timetable should be revealed once he resumes a rehab assignment.

Rehab put on hold Beaty's shoulder injury hasn't progressed as hoped, and his rehab assignment has been halted, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Impact Beaty was placed on the 10-day IL on May 9 with a left shoulder impingement, but he appeared to be progressing to the extent that he was able to begin a rehab assignment May 24. He hit well over four games with Triple-A El Paso, going 7-for-17 with a home run and five RBI. However, the shoulder continues to give him problems, so the organization has decided to send him back to its training complex in Arizona. It's unclear when Beaty may be able to return to game action.

Impact Beaty has been sidelined by a shoulder impingement since May 8, but he's now in the final stages of his rehab program. The 29-year-old could rejoin the Padres active roster by this weekend if all goes well during the rehab stint with El Paso.

Impact Beaty sustained a left shoulder injury on a diving attempt in the outfield Saturday and was held out of Sunday's lineup. Trayce Thompson and Jose Azocar should see increased playing time in the outfield while Beaty and Wil Myers (thumb) are out.

Exits with shoulder injury Beaty left Saturday's loss to the Marlins after appearing to injure his shoulder while diving for a ball in the second inning, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Impact Beaty got the start in right field but had to give way to Jose Azocar after landing awkwardly on the attempted catch in the second frame. Manager Bob Melvin didn't sound optimistic about Beaty's prognosis after the game, stating, "They're working on him right now, but it was obviously enough to where he had to come out of the game, so that's not a great sign." San Diego is already without primary right fielder Wil Myers, who is on the 10-day injured list with a thumb injury, so losing Beaty for any amount of time would further thin the team's outfield depth.
