Starting at first base Beaty is starting Wednesday's NL Wild Card Game against the Cardinals, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Impact Beaty served mainly as a depth option during the 2021 campaign, but he'll join the starting nine in Wednesday's postseason matchup with Max Muncy (elbow) unavailable. The 28-year-old went 6-for-17 with two home runs, six RBI and four runs after he was recalled in early September.
