Minnesota declines option The Twins have declined their side of Margot's $12 million mutual option for 2025, Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Saint Paul reports.
Impact He'll receive a $2 million buyout instead and hit the free-agent market. Margot, 30, slashed only .238/.289/.337 with four home runs and five stolen bases over 129 contests during his lone season in Minnesota.

Impact Margot required just a minimum 10-day absence while recovering from a mild right adductor strain. He did not play any rehab games, evidently showing enough in workouts to convince the Twins he was ready to rejoin the active roster.

Impact Margot underwent an MRI after suffering the groin injury in Saturday's 15-0 loss to the Blue Jays, but since the results of those tests haven't been made public, an exact timeline for the outfielder's return isn't known.
