Officially promoted
The Twins selected Keaschall's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Phil Miller of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Impact
Keaschall slashed .261/.379/.348 with five RBI, eight runs and four stolen bases across 58 plate appearances in Triple-A and is regarded as one of the top prospects in the Twins' farm system. He'll help provide some stability in a Minnesota infield that has been battered by injuries recently, though he will be working as the DH during his MLB debut against Atlanta on Friday. Mickey Gasper was optioned to St. Paul to clear space for the Keaschall on the active roster, and Matt Canterino (shoulder) was designated for assignment to free up a 40-man spot.

Bound for big leagues
The Twins plan to select Keaschall's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Impact
With the Twins currently dealing with injuries to Royce Lewis (hamstring), Willi Castro (oblique) and Carlos Correa (wrist), the team will call upon Keaschall to provide a healthy body capable of playing in the infield. The 22-year-old prospect has only started at second base (and DH) in the minors this year, though he also has a bit of experience at first and in center field. He owns a .727 OPS with five RBI, eight runs scored and four stolen bases through 14 Triple-A games and will be making his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game.

Returns to second base
Keaschall played second base for half of a Triple-A spring training game Tuesday, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Impact
It was his first game in the field after undergoing Tommy John surgery last August. He made a strong impression against major-league spring competition by hitting a home run with a .813 OPS while playing DH and pinch hitting. He'll likely begin the season at Double-A but could be in the majors this summer.

Impact
Keaschall was limited to only batting during most of spring training due to his recovery from Tommy John surgery last August. He made a strong impression against major league spring competition by hitting a home run with a .813 OPS. He'll likely begin the season at Double-A but could be in the majors this summer.

Impact
Keaschall has been taking grounders at second base but not throwing once he gets the ball. He could be cleared to begin throwing by the middle of March, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports. Keaschall almost surely isn't going to make the Opening Day roster, but he should debut during the 2025 season after slashing .303/.420/.483 with 15 home runs and 23 stolen bases between High-A Cedar Rapids and Double-A Wichita in 2024.
