Reaches deal with Atlanta Jackson signed a one-year, $1.9 million deal to avoid arbitration with the Braves on Wednesday.
Impact The right-hander recorded 18 saves and nine holds with a 3.84 ERA during 2019, but he struggled last season with a 6.84 ERA. Jackson wasn't included on Atlanta's playoff roster, but the team is apparently willing to give him a chance to rebound in 2021.

The 29-year-old had a clean outing aside from his effort in the fourth when he allowed two runs to score. Jackson's dependability has taken a tumble in 2020 as the right-hander has a 5.33 ERA and a 20:12 K:BB in 25.1 innings this season.

Impact Jackson entered a tied game in the ninth inning, and managed to keep it that way. He then loaded the bases with a pair of singles and the initial runner to start the 10th inning, but only one Jeff McNeil scored on a Dominic Smith sacrifice fly.
