Impact Curvelo will return to the big-league club for the first time since June 13. With Round Rock, the 25-year-old posted a 6.75 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 24:16 K:BB through 22.2 innings this season. Texas optioned Winston Santos to Triple-A to free up space for Curvelo on the active roster.

Impact Curvelo was struck on the inner thigh above the knee by a comebacker off the bat of Patrick Bailey in the top of the eighth inning and was immediately removed from the game after he fell to the ground following a bad throw to first base on the play. "He wasn't feeling really good," Schumaker said. It's unclear if Curvelo will need a stint on the injured list.
