Kevin Gausman - Logs another quality start Gausman (13-5) picked up a win after tossing seven innings of three-run ball while giving up five hits, walking one and striking out nine against the Rockies on Monday.

Impact The 30-year-old was effective in this one while limiting the Rockies to only three runs at the challenging venue of Coors Field. Ryan McMahon and Garrett Hampson each hit solo home runs off the veteran and Charlie Blackmon tripled in the other run charged to Gausman in the start. Gausman has now rattled off eight consecutive starts where he has surrendered three or less runs, picking up four wins along the way. He is expected to start next on Saturday in Chicago against the Cubs.

Impact Solano wasn't able to join the Giants in Colorado for their three-game series in Colorado that began Monday, but he was cleared to return to the team facility in San Francisco after completing a quarantine period. Assuming he fares well during his workouts the next few days, Solano could rejoin the Giants this weekend. Solano will likely serve as a short-side platoon mate at second base for Tommy La Stella once he's reinstated.

Kris Bryant - Leaves with wrist discomfort Bryant was removed from Monday's win over the Rockies with wrist discomfort, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Impact Bryant went 1-for-4 before being replaced by a pinch hitter during the seventh inning with the Giants leading 10-2, and it sounds as though his removal was a precautionary measure. The 29-year-old should be considered day-to-day and could be back in the starting nine for Tuesday's contest.

Impact The 31-year-old contributed the biggest hit in a four-run opening frame for the Dodgers, which saw them rack up five of their eight baserunners for the game. Taylor has hit a bit of a skid lately -- even with the homer Monday, he's gone just 3-for-34 in his last 10 games. The utility man has a .264/.353/.461 slash line with 20 long balls, 71 RBI, 87 runs scored and 13 stolen bases through 536 plate appearances.
