Mitch Haniger - Likely out for road trip Haniger (oblique) most likely won't rejoin the Giants during their upcoming road trip, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

Impact After Haniger was shut down for a week due to back issues, the plan was to activate him at some point during the Giants' road trip between April 14-19. Now, it seems that the 32-year-old outfielder will have his season debut delayed even further. The team has not announced a new target date.

Austin Slater - Road trip return unlikely Giants manager Gabe Kapler said Tuesday that Slater (hamstring) is unlikely to rejoin the team for their upcoming road trip, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

Impact After Kapler said Friday that Slater could make his return during the upcoming road trip, it appears the 30-year-old outfielder's debut will instead be pushed back a bit further. Slater has been held out of action since straining his hamstring in mid-March.
