Arrives at camp Ruiz (not injury related) has arrived in Arizona and is undergoing intake testing, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact Ruiz wasn't present to begin spring training due to visa issues, but he'll be able to join the team for workouts in the coming days if he clears intake testing. The 22-year-old worked hard on his own to stay in shape while he was away from the team, and manager Dave Roberts said that he hopes to get Ruiz into game action at some point next week.

Not likely to pitch in spring games Morrow is unlikely to pitch in Cactus League games this spring, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact Morrow is healthy to begin spring training after he dealt with elbow injuries over the past two seasons. He's serving as a non-roster invitee with the Dodgers this year, but manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that he's not likely to see game action this spring since he needs to build up arm strength after his lengthy layoff. The right-hander hasn't appeared in a game in 2018 but is expected to be built up as a "leverage reliever" during spring training.

Tosses bullpen session Friday Kelly (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday and is progressing through his throwing program, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Impact Kelly has started slowly this spring due to a bout of soreness and an unspecified illness, but he appears to be working his way back in shape. The Dodgers expect the right-hander to be ready for Opening Day, and he figures to be a key cog in the team's bullpen as long as he stays healthy.

Solid in first spring start Kershaw completed two scoreless innings in a Cactus League contest against Kansas City on Friday, allowing two hits and striking out two.
Impact Kershaw allowed a double to Whit Merrifield in the first inning and another to Michael Taylor in the second, but he otherwise clamped down and extended his spring scoreless streak to 30 innings dating back to 2017. According to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times, Kershaw threw his fastball at 89-90 mph in the outing -- a touch below his average velocity last season, but not a major concern given the nature of the exhibition contest. Kershaw enters his 14th big-league season as the Dodgers' presumed ace despite the quality of arms that surround him in the team's starting rotation.

Next spring outing pushed back Jansen won't appear in a game for at least a few days after he felt uncomfortable with his mechanics during a live batting practice session Thursday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Ang...
Impact Jansen looked great in his spring debut Monday, retiring all three batters he faced -- two by strikeout -- on only nine pitches. There's no indication that the right-hander's issues while throwing to teammates Thursday has anything to do with an injury, so it sounds like the team is simply giving Jansen a few days to get right before he returns to game action. Though his numbers have fallen a bit over the past few seasons, he'll enter the campaign as the Dodgers' Opening Day closer once again.

Mound work coming soon Graterol is on track to throw off a mound for the first time this spring within the next few days, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Impact Manager Dave Roberts explained Friday that Graterol wasn't able to pitch regularly in Venezuela over the winter, which explains why the Dodgers have held him back in his throwing program thus far. Graterol is expected to play a key high-leverage role in the team's bullpen this season, so the hope is that he'll still have time to properly ramp up before Opening Day.
