Impact Isbel had a run-scoring single and stole a base in the sixth inning. It was his seventh stolen base in 10 attempts this season. He's turned it on in August and has a .296/.345/.630 line with five extra-base hits and two stolen bases in 29 plate appearances. He's started nine of Kansas City's last 12 games, appearing at each of the outfield spots during that span. The Royals appear to be giving Isbel an extended opportunity to showcase his skills at the big-league level.

Impact Freeman reached on an error and stole second base in the eighth inning. It was his 10th steal in 12 tries this season, tying his career-high for stolen bases in a season. Sunday was the first time in 18 games where he did not reach base safely. Since the beginning of July he's posted a .352/.422/.570 line with six homers and an 18:16 BB:K in 38 games.

Scott Barlow - Picks up 19th save Barlow earned the save Sunday over the Dodgers, striking out three in 1.1 innings in a 4-0 victory.
Impact Barlow entered the game in the eighth inning with runners on first and third and two outs and fanned Max Muncy to end the threat. In the ninth, he struck out the first two batters he faced and got Chris Taylor to pop out in foul ground to end the game. It was his 19th save in 22 chances and third save this month. The 29-year-old has been very good in August, allowing one run in eight innings while striking out 10.

It was just the second loss of the season for the lefty. He has seven quality starts in his last eight outings and has compiled a 2.15 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 34:12 K:BB with two homers allowed in 50.1 innings in that span. His next start will likely be at the end of the week against Miami.
