Tanner Scott - Officially activated The Dodgers reinstated Scott (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Friday.
Impact Scott will rejoin the active roster after a month-long stint on the IL with left elbow inflammation, pushing Matt Sauer back to Triple-A. Scott has converted on 19 of 26 save chances this season. He should step right back into his closing role.

Mookie Betts - Continuing resurgence Betts went 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs Thursday in a 9-5 victory against the Rockies.
Impact Betts got a turn in the leadoff slot with Shohei Ohtani (thigh) given a rest day. The outfielder-turned-shortstop set the table well in the series finale, reaching four times and scoring twice. Betts went through an 0-for-20 five-game stretch from late July to early August that brought his season batting average down to .231, but he's bounced back nicely since, slashing .351/.415/.491 with two homers, nine RBI, 14 runs and a 6:4 BB:K over his past 14 contests. Betts' .689 OPS on the campaign is still tracking toward his worst career mark by far, but he's at least surging at the right time as the Dodgers head into the stretch with a one-game lead over San Diego in the NL West.

Alex Freeland - Perking up at plate Freeland went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, a run and an RBI in Thursday's 9-5 win over Colorado.
Impact Freeland not only posted his first MLB three-hit effort, he also hit his first big-league triple and his second major-league double. The rookie infielder went 6-for-17 in the first five games following his July 29 call-up, but he then sputtered to a 1-for-25 stretch that included 10 strikeouts (albeit with seven walks) over his next 10 contests. Freeland may be starting to turn things back around, though, going 5-for-13 with three extra-base knocks and just one punchout over his past four contests. He's been starting regularly against right-handed pitchers, logging time at both second and third base.

McCade Brown - Could make MLB debut Sunday Brown is the leading candidate to start for the Rockies on Sunday against the Pirates, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Impact The Rockies released Austin Gomber on Friday, and Brown appears slated to fill the hole in the rotation. Brown, the 79th overall pick in the 2021 draft, hasn't pitched above Double-A. He has a 3.14 ERA and 57:15 K:BB across 43 innings with Double-A Hartford this season. The 25-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery in 2023, but he's been fully healthy this season.
