Impact Lowe was lifted from Thursday's game against the Angels after fouling a ball off his right knee. While he is undoubtedly still sore, there's been no indication to this point that it could be more than a day-to-day type injury. Isaac Paredes will slide over to second base Friday, with Curtis Mead getting the call at the hot corner.

Impact Caminero was officially promoted from Double-A Montgomery to the big leagues earlier Friday, but he will have to wait to make his first start. It wouldn't seem to be a great sign for his playing time outlook down the stretch, although perhaps Tampa Bay just wanted to given the youngster a day to settle in. Curtis Mead is at third base Friday and Osleivis Basabe is handling shortstop.

Luke Raley - Placed on IL The Rays placed Raley on the 10-day injured list Friday with a cervical strain, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.
Impact Raley hasn't started a game since colliding with a staff member during batting practice last Saturday, and he reported numbness in his arm following a pinch hit appearance Wednesday. Raley's move to the injured list is retroactive to Thursday, so he will still be eligible to return for the final game of the season Oct. 1, but there's a chance the Rays keep him on the shelf until the postseason.

Junior Caminero - Promotion made official The Rays selected Caminero's contract from Double-A Montgomery on Friday, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.
Impact One of the top prospects in all of baseball, Caminero will skip the Triple-A level and report to the big leagues after just turning 20 in July. He earned the promotion after batting .324/.384/.591 with 31 home runs and 94 RBI between High-A Bowling Green and Montgomery, with 20 of those homers coming at the Double-A level. While primarily a third baseman, Caminero has experience at all four infield positions and could potentially take over at shortstop for the Rays.
