Shohei Ohtani - Set for bullpen session Ohtani is set to throw a bullpen session Saturday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact Ohtani will throw off the mound for the first time since Feb. 25 as he gears up to make his return to the Dodgers' rotation at some point this season. The 30-year-old last pitched in 2023 with the Angels, posting a 3.14 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 167 strikeouts over 132 innings in 23 starts. It's unclear if the team has a timeline for Ohtani's official return to the mound, but the expectation remains that it'll be during the 2025 campaign.

Mookie Betts - Hopeful to play Tuesday Betts (illness) completed a workout at Dodger Stadium on Monday and intends to play in Tuesday's game against the Angels, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact Betts has already been ruled out for Monday's exhibition, but the fact that he's been able to keep food down and felt strong enough to complete a workout is a promising sign. If Betts is cleared for Tuesday's action, it would likely point to him being included in the starting lineup for Opening Day on Thursday, per Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times.

Yoán Moncada - Opening Day still uncertain Moncada (thumb) fielded grounders and did some light throwing Monday, Michael Huntley of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Impact Moncada was still wearing a wrap on his injured right thumb during the workout. While he remains hopeful of being ready in time for Opening Day, the fact that Moncada hasn't played in nearly two weeks and still isn't throwing at full strength suggests it would be a push for him to play Thursday. If Moncada is not ready, Luis Rengifo will play third base for the Angels.
