Impact Neto is batting .309 (17-for-55) over 14 games in September, with this being his sixth multi-hit effort of the month. The shortstop is now at 21 steals this season, five less than he had in 2025. Yusei Kikuchi - Struggles against Mariners Kikuchi (1-6) allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits and five walks while striking out four over 4.1 innings to take the loss Wednesday versus the Mariners.
Impact The five walks were a season high for Kikuchi, who has issued 12 free passes over his last 14.1 innings. He has at least kept the ball in the yard in that span, but the Mariners were able to pick him apart with singles and walks in Wednesday's game. For the season, Kikuchi is at a 5.02 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 58:28 K:BB through 57.1 innings over 12 starts. The southpaw is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Athletics.

Sam Bachman - Back from IL The Angels reinstated Bachman from the injured list Wednesday.
Impact Bachman landed on the injured list in early August due to inflammation in his right forearm. Now, after pitching 2.2 shutout innings across three rehab appearances in the minors, the 26-year-old will return to help the Angels' bullpen get through the final weeks of the regular season. He'll replace the injured Samy Natera (forearm).

Samy Natera Jr. - Placed on injured list The Angels placed Natera on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with left forearm inflammation.
Impact Natera's move to the IL is backdated to Sunday, but he still won't have enough time to make it back before the end of the season. The 26-year-old's rookie campaign was largely successful, as he'll finish the year with a 3.13 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and a 48:13 K:BB across 31.2 innings. Sam Bachman (forearm) was reinstated from the IL in a corresponding move.

Mariners head into matchup against the Angels on losing streak

The Seattle Mariners look to end their three-game losing streak with a victory against the Los Angeles Angels
SEPTEMBER 16 • Associated Press
Wade Meckler - Picks up steal Meckler went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.
Impact Meckler logged his first multi-hit effort in nine games with this performance. He's picked up a pair of steals over his last four contests and now has eight steals on the year. The outfielder is batting .297 with a .760 OPS, three home runs, 26 RBI, 39 runs scored and 14 doubles over 87 contests while primarily playing in a strong-side platoon role.
SEPTEMBER 16 • ROTOWIRE
Josh Lowe - Hits go-ahead homer Lowe went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.
Impact Lowe went deep off Logan Gilbert in the sixth inning, and that play was the difference in the game. After doubling his hit total for the month, Lowe is 4-for-20 (.200) across 11 games in September while filling a part-time role. He's batting .210 with a .644 OPS, 12 homers, 29 RBI, 28 runs scored, eight doubles and nine stolen bases across 104 contests this season.
SEPTEMBER 16 • ROTOWIRE
Ryan Watson - Secures third save Watson allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.
Impact Watson has rebounded well after struggling late in August. He's on a seven-inning scoreless streak with a save and five holds over his last eight appearances. Watson got the save chance Tuesday since the Angels have been avoiding having Ben Joyce pitch consecutive days, and he worked a scoreless inning Monday on 20 pitches. For the year, Watson has a 3.99 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 60:22 K:BB over 70 innings between the Angels and the Red Sox. He's also added three saves, eight holds and two blown saves, with the bulk of his high-leverage work coming with the Angels.
SEPTEMBER 16 • ROTOWIRE
Ryan Johnson - Strong again in win Johnson (5-8) allowed one run on six hits and a hit batsman while striking out seven and walking none over six innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Tuesday.
Impact This was Johnson's fourth quality start in his last five outings, and he's come away with a win in three of those games. The 24-year-old struggled at times during his early stints in the majors, but he's turned the corner with just 10 runs allowed over 44.1 innings since the start of August. Overall, Johnson sports a 4.88 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 70:39 K:BB through 90.1 innings over 20 games (17 starts) this year. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Twins.

Jose Siri - Tallies three hits in win Siri went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored and a steal in Monday's 6-4 win over the Mariners.
Impact Siri started the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning, adding a pair of singles afterward, including an RBI knock in the third frame. The outfielder has been productive of late, slashing .368/.400/.632 with a homer, five RBI, three runs and a stolen base over his past seven games. On the year, the 31-year-old is hitting .234/.290/.406 with eight homers, 28 RBI, 32 runs and seven stolen bases in 96 contests.
SEPTEMBER 15 • ROTOWIRE
Ben Joyce - Pockets fifth save Joyce picked up the save Monday against the Mariners. He allowed no hits and two walks with no strikeouts over a scoreless inning.
Impact Joyce was wild, throwing just nine of 20 pitches for strikes, but he was able to retire the side with no damage done to secure his fifth save of the season. Walks notwithstanding, putting up a zero was a nice rebound for the hard-throwing right-hander, as he suffered a blown save Saturday and allowed a run in each of his previous two outings. Joyce has emerged as the top ninth-inning option for the Angels, posting a 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 15:9 K:BB in 13.1 frames.
