Reid Detmers - Collects sixth win Detmers (6-8) earned the win Monday, allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings against the Mariners. He struck out eight.
Impact Detmers was tagged for a three-run homer in the fourth inning courtesy of Cal Raleigh, but he still churned out a quality start and picked up his second straight win. The southpaw has been brilliant in the second half, posting a 1.65 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 76:11 K:BB across 65.1 innings (11 starts) since the All-Star break. On the year, Detmers owns a 3.36 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 199:46 K:BB in 174 innings (30 starts) and is tentatively scheduled to pitch Saturday against the Twins.

Impact Rodriguez was able to get out of a bases-loaded situation in the first inning without giving up a run. He kept the Nationals off the board until he was tagged for two runs in the sixth, but it was still a nice bounce-back performance from the 26-year-old right-hander, who had allowed nine runs in his two outings (spanning 10 innings) prior to Sunday. Rodriguez will take a 6.10 ERA and 1.56 WHIP over 87 innings into his net start, tentatively slated for next weekend at home against the Twins.

Impact The Angels staged a late rally to take a 5-4 lead in the top of the ninth inning, but Joyce couldn't close the door in the bottom of the frame. The right-hander is 4-for-6 in converting save chances since taking over the closer role in mid-August, and over 10 appearances since then he's posted a 4.82 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB in 9.1 innings.

Impact All the damage off Urena came in the first two innings, but the right-hander settled in after that and was taken off the hook for a loss when the Angels staged a late rally from a 4-0 deficit. It's the first time since Aug. 8 that Urena's been tagged for more than three runs, and over his first 137.1 big-league innings he's produced a 2.88 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 131:67 K:BB. He'll look to for his 10th win of the season in his next outing, which is set to come at home next week against the Twins.

Impact Moncada underwent right knee surgery in early June. He's been rehabbing at his home in Florida but isn't close to a return to game action. In the likely event that Moncada's campaign is indeed over, he'll finish with a .189/.308/.297 slash line, three homers, nine runs, 10 RBI and one stolen base over 41 games.

Impact Campero suffered a right hamstring strain in late August and subsequently landed on the IL. He's spent most of 2026 in the minors, compiling a .313/.389/.914 slash line with 13 homers, 61 runs, 54 RBI and 12 stolen bases over 69 games across three levels. If Campero's season is indeed over, he'll end up having gone 4-for-11 with one double and two RBI over four contests with the Angels.
