Day off Monday Butler is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

Impact Tough left-hander Shota Imanaga is on the hill for the Cubs, so the Athletics will use Monday's game as an opportunity to give the left-handed-batting Butler a breather. Daz Cameron will play right field and Jacob Wilson will be elevated to the leadoff spot for the series opener.
