Slugs fifth homer Tucker went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 16-2 rout of the Angels.
Impact His eighth-inning blast came off Angels catcher Anthony Bemboom, who took the mound to save further wear and tear on the bullpen, but it counts all the same. Tucker has had trouble stringing hits together to begin the season, but his luck may be turning. On the season, the 24-year-old is slashing just .177/.202/.405 through 20 games, albeit with a solid five homers, one steal, 10 runs and 13 RBI.
APRIL 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Snaps hitless streak Tucker went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Thursday's 8-2 win over the Angels.
Impact It was a good all around for the Astros, who won for the just the second time 11 games. Tucker's fourth-inning single snapped an 0-for-15 bout of frustration while the stolen base was the first this season. The next stretch of futility for Tucker to conquer is for RBI. After driving in 11 runs over the first nine games, the outfielder has zero RBI over the next nine.
APRIL 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hitless atop order Tucker batted leadoff for a second straight game and went 0-for-3 in Sunday's 7-2 loss to the Mariners.
Impact Houston manager Dusty Baker is front-loading his impact hitters in the top half of the lineup while the team is without Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman and Yordan Alvarez due to health and safety protocols. That means a more prominent role for Tucker, who was 1-for-7 over the weekend as the leadoff batter. It may not be the best time to experiment with Tucker, but Baker has limited options right now. Tucker, who is batting .226 with a .682 OPS, bemoaned his pull-happy approach last week, per Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle, and is cognizant that he needs to swing through the ball.
APRIL 19, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hits leadoff Saturday Tucker batted leadoff and went 1-for-4 in Saturday's 1-0 win over Seattle.
Impact With five Astros on the injured list due to health and safety protocols, manager Dusty Baker has been forced to ad-lib his lineup. Tucker batted leadoff for the first time this season, as Jose Altuve is unavailable. Myles Straw was atop the order for the first two games without Altuve before Tucker hit there Saturday.
APRIL 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Not starting Friday Tucker isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Mariners, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Tucker went hitless with a strikeout in five at-bats Wednesday, and he'll be out of the lineup for the first time this season during Friday's series opener. Chas McCormick will draw the start in right field, batting eighth.
APRIL 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Launches fourth homer of season Tucker went 1-for-4 with a home run Saturday against the Athletics.
Impact Tucker went deep in the bottom of the seventh inning off reliever Brandon Bielak, and the slugger now has four homers in the season. Tucker might be hitting near the bottom of the order and owns a subpar .189 average thus far, but the power is real -- though that's likely to be his only source to provide fantasy value going forward.
APRIL 11, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Drops to seventh in order Tucker batted seventh and went 1-for-4 with a double in Thursday's 6-2 win over Oakland.
Impact Tucker opened the season as the team's cleanup batter and thrived with six RBI over the first three games, but he's been dropped down since. His .200 batting average isn't much to look at, but despite the fact the Astros have faced a lot of left-handed pitching early, Tucker continues to make an impact with four extra-base hits, nine RBI, and at least one RBI in six of seven games.
APRIL 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hits third consecutive homer Tucker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's win over the Angels.
Impact Another day, another homer for Tucker. The 24-year-old stayed red hot with this third long ball in as many days, extending his RBI steak to six games. He now has nine RBI on the season despite batting just .192.
APRIL 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Extends RBI streak Tucker went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 7-6 loss to the Angels.
Impact Tucker was dropped to sixth in the order, but he still managed to make an offensive impact. The homer was his second in as many games, and he extended his RBI streak to five contests. Though he's batting just .182 (4-for-22), Tucker is benefiting from the on-base machines at the top of the order, as he's already driven in eight runs.
APRIL 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hits solo shot Tucker went 1-for-5 with a solo homer Sunday against Oakland.
Impact Tucker has yet to have a multi-hit game through his first four contests, but he's driven in seven runs and has now hit his first homer. That homer came in the first inning off lefty Sean Manaea. Tucker did show decent power against southpaws last season, hitting four of his nine homers against them, though he had significant platoon splits nonetheless, posting a .695 OPS against lefties and a .905 OPS against righties.
APRIL 5, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting pretty at cleanup Tucker went 1-for-4 with three RBI in Friday's 9-5 win over Oakland.
Impact Batting cleanup behind Jose Altuve, Michael Brantley and Alex Bregman served Tucker well Friday. The three men above him went 8-for-12, generating RBI opportunities for the 24-year-old outfielder. He had a run-producing sacrifice fly and delivered two more on a single. Tucker's knocked in four runs over the first two games.
APRIL 3, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Exposed to CF Tucker made his first spring start in center field and went 0-for-2 with a walk in Saturday's game against St. Louis.
Impact It appears Houston manager Dusty Baker is preparing a contingency plan should Myles Straw not hit sufficiently enough to warrant a full-time starting gig in center field. Tucker has one inning of experience in center field, and Baker doesn't want to throw him out there during the regular season without some exposure during the spring. "You try to play as many different scenarios as they come up during the season," Baker told Brian McTaggart of MLB.com. "You hate to just throw them out there during the season and all of a sudden, without notice or warning, before having any time out there." The outfield configuration in Saturday's game had Straw in left, Tucker in center and Michael Brantley in right. Houston also has Aledmys Diaz to play left field.
MARCH 21, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
No uncertainty in 2021 Tucker is expected to serve as the everyday right fielder in 2021, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Unlike previous seasons when he was blocked by established veterans and his own anemic production against MLB pitching (.652 OPS, 144 plate appearances), Tucker has a secure spot in the lineup. He was a bright spot for the Astros in 2020 when many of their players underperformed. Tucker had an .837 OPS over 228 plate appearances and came on in the second half, slashing .317/.386/.619 over the final 140 appearances. "I kind of figured it out (during) the second half, kind of fixed my swing with some stuff and just got all-around more comfortable out there," Tucker said Tuesday. "The second half of the season was really how I play and how I want to play." The organization is looking for the 24-year-old Tucker to help replace the production lost when George Springer and Josh Reddick moved on during the offseason.
FEBRUARY 24, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hits insurance home run Tucker went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Game 6 of the ALCS.
Impact Tucker slugged his first home run of the postseason in a big spot to put the Astros up 5-1 in the sixth inning. One frame later, he added an additional insurance run with a sacrifice fly. Tucker has 14 hits in 49 plate appearances this postseason, but he's lacked power, as the long ball was his first extra-base hit in 12 contests.
OCTOBER 17, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Not in Sunday's lineup Tucker is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Impact Tucker started the past 12 games and posted an .885 OPS during that stretch, but he'll receive a breather in the season finale. Aledmys Diaz starts in left field and will bat fifth Sunday for Houston.
SEPTEMBER 27, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Swipes bag in loss Tucker went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 loss against the Rangers.
Impact Tucker was able to single his way on base twice and managed to steal second and then make it to third after a throwing error by Jeff Mathis. The 23-year-old is hitting .271/.327/.517 with nine home runs, 42 RBI and eight stolen bases in 57 games for the Astros.
SEPTEMBER 27, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Four-hit effort in win Tucker went 4-for-5 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Mariners.
Impact Tucker opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning. In the sixth, Tucker got aboard with a single, then stole second before advancing to third and ultimately scoring on two wild pitches by Mariners reliever Casey Sadler. The 23-year-old Tucker is slashing .276/.327/.542 with nine homers, seven steals, 42 RBI and 32 runs scored in a breakout campaign.

Steals base in loss Tucker went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a stolen base in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.
Impact Tucker gave the Astros a 2-0 lead in the third inning with his RBI double. He added a single and a stolen base in the sixth, but didn't come around to score on either of his successful at-bats. The 23-year-old is slashing a decent .258/.307/.534 with nine homers, six steals, 40 RBI and 31 runs scored through 49 games.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Smacks ninth homer Tucker went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Thursday against the Rangers.
Impact Tucker provided the entire offense for the Astros, smacking his ninth home run of the season in the second inning. He had been in quite a slump at the dish, recording just three hits in 30 at-bats in eight games since Sept. 6 -- the date of his last home run. Still, Tucker has provided plenty of power and counting stats to this point in the campaign, hitting .253/.303/.529 with 31 runs scored, 39 RBI and five stolen bases across 188 plate appearances.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Not starting Sunday Tucker is out of the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Tucker is 0-for-15 with six strikeouts over his past four games and will receive a day to reset Sunday. Michael Brantley, Myles Straw and George Spring will start from left to right in the outfield for Houston.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Goes yard again Tucker went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Sunday's 9-5 loss to the Angels.
Impact Tucker gave the Astros a quick 2-0 lead with his 389-foot shot in the first inning Sunday. Now that he's getting consistent MLB playing time, the 23-year-old is showing exactly what all the hype was about; he's slashing .284/.338/.596 with 22 extra-base hits and 37 RBI.
SEPTEMBER 7, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Slugs seventh homer Tucker went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI during a 10-9 loss to the Angels in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.
Impact The 23-year-old got the Astros on the board with a solo shot in the second inning, and he added RBI singles in the third and fifth. He had a sluggish start to 2020, but Tucker has been dialed in at the plate for over a month now -- after a 1-for-3 performance in the nightcap Saturday, he's slashing .306/.356/.657 over his last 30 games with all seven of his homers and 30 RBI.
SEPTEMBER 6, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Slugs sixth homer Saturday Tucker went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the A's.
Impact The Astros scored 10 runs in sweeping the twin bill, and Tucker drove in six of them after adding a bases-loaded triple in the nightcap. The 23-year-old appears to be coming into his own in 2020, slashing .272/.333/.588 with six homers, four steals, 26 runs and 29 RBI -- the kind of production his minor-league performance always suggested he was capable of.
