Starting Tuesday
Upton (illness) will bat fifth and play left field Tuesday against Cleveland.

Scratched with illness
Upton was scratched from the lineup with a non-COVID illness Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Impact
It sounds as if Upton should be able to get back on the field before too long. If he is indeed able to do so, his preparation for Opening Day shouldn't be significantly affected. Juan Lagares will replace him in left field Monday against the Reds.

Launches two homers Monday
Upton went 2-for-2 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Monday's Cactus League loss to Milwaukee.
Impact
The veteran outfielder went deep in both the second and fourth innings, bringing his spring long-ball total to a team-leading three. It's only exhibition play, of course, but the strong start bodes well for Upton after he struggled to a career-worst .204/.289/.422 slash line during the abbreviated 2020 campaign.
