Placed on IL with hamstring strain Urias was placed on the 15-day injured list by the Dodgers on Saturday with a left hamstring strain, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Impact Urias struggled in his start Thursday against the Cardinals while allowing six runs in just three innings, and it's possible the hamstring injury was partially responsible for the issues. The left-hander is now scheduled to miss at least two weeks while recovering. Wander Suero will take Urias's place on the roster, but the Dodgers will need to add a new starter to the roster in the coming days. It could be Gavin Stone or Michael Grove, or possibly both with Dustin May (elbow) also out of action.

Impact Urias gave up four homers in the third inning and wasn't given the chance to pitch in the fourth. Home runs have become a problem for Urias. He allowed 23 in 31 starts last season, but has surrendered 14 in just 10 starts in 2023. He's given up multiple homers in half of his starts. The lefty has made at least 30 starts and posted an ERA under 3.00 in the last two seasons, but he is sporting a 4.39 ERA after the Cardinals teed off.
