Locks up bullpen job Feyereisen was informed Wednesday that he will be included in the Brewers' Opening Day bullpen, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Feyereisen earned his spot after giving up just one hit (a solo home run) while posting a 17:2 K:BB in 9.1 innings this spring. Josh Hader is Milwaukee's closer and reigning NL Rookie of the Year Devin Williams is locked in as the top setup man, but the bullpen pecking order is fairly unsettled beyond the top two options. If Feyereisen is able to carry over his form from the spring into the regular season, he could emerge as a key cog in the bridge to Williams and Hader.

Throwing well this spring Feyereisen tossed his fourth perfect inning of the spring in Friday's exhibition game against the Cubs.

Impact Feyereisen broke camp with a spot in the Brewers' bullpen last year, and he is well on his way to doing the same in 2021, allowing zero runners to reach base and punching out seven batters over his first four appearances this spring.

Returns to alternate camp Feyereisen was returned to the Brewers' alternate training site Saturday.

Impact Feyereisen served as the 29th man in Friday's doubleheader against the Cardinals and tossed one clean inning during the twin bill. The right-hander posted a 5.79 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over 9.1 innings during his first taste of major-league action this year.

Sent down by Brewers Feyereisen was optioned to the Brewers' alternate training site Monday.

Impact Feyereisen made four relief appearances during his most recent stint in the majors, allowing five runs on three hits and five walks while striking out six over 7.1 innings during that time. However, his results faltered recently as he allowed four runs over 3.1 innings during his last two outings. The 27-year-old will return to alternate camp after Ray Black was reinstated from the 45-day injured list in a corresponding move.
