The 28-year-old sustained a concussion Aug. 9 but cleared the protocol 10 days later and was given the green light to rejoin the big club after experiencing no setbacks during his lone rehab game with High-A Everett over the weekend.

Impact The veteran shortstop also took three plate appearances in his first game action since Aug. 9, and as per manager Scott Servais, Crawford is now free of the mental fogginess he felt following his concussion and came out of Saturday's activity feeling good. Impact Crawford has officially been diagnosed with a concussion following his collision Wednesday with teammate Eugenio Suarez. The 28-year-old shortstop is enjoying a mini breakout this season, having registered a .266/.379/.411 batting line and a career-high 10 home runs through 107 games. He'll be first eligible to return to the Mariners next Sunday, but head injuries never come with a predictable recovery timeline.
