Impact Staumont's back tightened up after he slipped on the mound while delivering a pitch Friday against the Twins. He was removed from the game, but manager Mike Matheny provided an encouraging update Saturday. However, Matheny said that the team will proceed with caution in order to prevent a more serious issue.

Impact Staumont slipped on the mound while delivering one of his pitches Friday, and manager Mike Matheny said after the game that he was removed from the game as a precautionary measure. The right-hander will be examined again Saturday in order to better determine the extent of the injury.
