Recalled from Triple-A The Diamondbacks recalled Rojas from Triple-A Reno on Saturday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Impact The D-backs sent Rojas down to Triple-A in mid-June, and he's since slashed .259/.322/.389 with two homers and eight RBI across 59 plate appearances. He'll return to Arizona to take Evan Longoria's roster spot after Longoria landed on the IL with a back issue.

Back in action at Triple-A Rojas (back) has gone 7-for-18 with a home run, a stolen base, four RBI and three runs since being activated from Triple-A Reno's 7-day injured list Saturday.

Impact Rojas was sidelined at Triple-A for just over three weeks due to the back injury. Since losing out on a regular starting role at third base for the Diamondbacks and getting optioned to the minors June 19, Rojas is slashing .277/.346/.404 over 52 plate appearances with Reno.

Impact Rojas hadn't played since July 1, when Triple-A Reno placed him on the injured list with a lower back injury. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo told Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic that the infielder is "getting his swing back together," which sounds like the manager's primary concern is less about the back than the swing. Rojas was demoted to the minors June 19 after posting a .607 OPS for the Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks have ultimately decided it would be best for him to work through his struggles in the minors. Emmanuel Rivera has cooled off recently but could be in line for the bulk of the starts at third base, with Evan Longoria also in the mix.
