Reaches four times in win Clase went 2-for-3 with an RBI, two walks and a stolen base in Thursday's 7-6 extra-innings victory over the Padres.

Impact After picking up three multi-hit games in his small 26-game sample size in 2024, Clase picked up his first multi-hit game of the 2025 campaign Thursday, and he added a couple of walks on top of it. It continues a good trend for the 22-year-old who has now recorded a hit in three straight games he's played in while going 4-for-7 with three RBIs, three walks and two stolen bases.

Collects first steal of season Clase went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Tigers.

Impact Getting the start in left field and batting ninth, Clase swiped his first big-league bag of the year after leading off the fifth inning with a single, but the top of the Toronto order couldn't bring him home in an eventual 3-2 loss. Clase has been starting every other game since rejoining the 26-man roster May 7, but he doesn't have much production to show for it, going 3-for-20 with two RBI and a 0:7 BB:K.

Dispatched to Buffalo The Blue Jays optioned Clase to Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday.

Impact Clase reached the big leagues for the first time last season and slashed .246/.303/.328 across 66 plate appearances between the Mariners and Blue Jays. He'll attempt to right the ship in Triple-A, and a spot on Toronto's bench may be his down the line if he can rediscover his swing.

Ready for spring debut Clase (hamstring) is in the lineup for Saturday's Grapefruit League game against Atlanta.

Impact Assuming there are no further issues with his hamstring, Clase should be able to start the season on time. While he appears headed for a limited role after mostly struggling as a rookie between Seattle and Toronto, the 22-year-old Clase has shown offensive potential on the farm, and his sprint speed was elite last season at 30.0 ft/sec.
