Promoted to Triple-A Garcia was promoted to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Impact Garcia will make the jump to Triple-A after batting .256 with three home runs, 17 RBI, 19 runs scored and four stolen bases over 117 at-bats in 33 games with Double-A Portland this season. The 22-year-old will look to impress with Worcester in an attempt to get a shot with the Red Sox later this season.

Impact Garcia struggled this spring, going 1-for-21 with a 10:0 K:BB. The 22-year-old finished the 2024 campaign at Double-A Portland and is likely headed back there to begin this season.

Protected from Rule 5 Draft The Red Sox selected Garcia's contract from Double-A Portland on Tuesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Impact Garcia spent time at three different levels this season, slashing .286/.356/.536 with 23 home runs and 17 stolen bases. Slated to turn 22 in December, Garcia has experience at all three outfield spots and is now protected from the Rule 5 Draft.

Impact With three of the Red Sox's top prospects in Roman Anthony, Kyle Teel and Marcelo Mayer making the move up to Triple-A Worcester, Garcia will receive a promotion of his own to fill one of the vacant roster spots at Portland. The 21-year-old outfielder will be moving up to his third affiliate of the season after beginning the campaign at Single-A Salem before joining Greenville in late May and slashing .311/.371/.632 with 16 home runs in 229 plate appearances during his time in the South Atlantic League.
