Impact Sanchez projects for big raw power and big swing-and-miss issues. He only demonstrated the latter in his brief debut last year, striking at a 37.9 percent clip while going just 1-for-25 at the plate. He's fared far better in 33 games for Triple-A Jacksonville this season, striking out just 19.3 percent of the time while hitting .349 with nine homers. Exactly what kind of role he'll play at the big-league level remains to be seen, but it's likely that he'll be given a chance to show what he can do.

Unstoppable at Triple-A Sanchez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday in Triple-A Jacksonville's 5-4 win over Norfolk.

Impact Just over half way through the first month of the minor-league season, no hitter has been more productive than Sanchez. Incredibly, the 2-for-4 outing actually lowered the 23-year-old's batting average, which now sits at .510. A ridiculous .594 BABIP has certainly aided Sanchez, but the outfielder isn't merely getting by a cheap base knocks. Eleven of his 27 hits have gone for extra bases.

Impact The 23-year-old is one of the hottest hitters in the minors through the first week of action. The Marlins have bypassed Sanchez for a promotion so far while trying to fill a hole in center field left by Starling Marte (ribs), but if he keeps raking, he should get another shot at the majors in the near future after a disappointing 2020 debut.

Impact Sanchez was sidelined for the last couple weeks of spring training with the strained right groin, but he looks like he'll be back to full strength when the minor-league season gets underway in May. Expect the Marlins to assign him to Triple-A Jacksonville, where he'll be able to play the outfield on an everyday basis.

Assuming he avoids any further setbacks in his recovery from the groin strain, Sanchez could be ready to go when Triple-A Jacksonville begins its season in May.

Impact With established veterans in Adam Duvall and Corey Dickerson expected to man the corner outfield for Miami in 2021, Sanchez wasn't a strong candidate to break camp with the big club anyway, but the groin injury should officially take him out of the running for an Opening Day roster spot. Sanchez, who hadn't made a Grapefruit League appearance since March 8, should have a good chance at being ready to go for the start of Triple-A Jacksonville's season in early May.
