Bounces back for third win Luzardo (3-2) allowed a run on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings to earn the win Tuesday over the Diamondbacks.

Impact Luzardo hadn't collected a win in his last four starts, but he was able to limit the damage effectively Tuesday. This was his fourth quality start of the season, and the first time since April 5 that he kept an opponent to one run or fewer. The southpaw now has a 3.38 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 48:16 K:BB through 45.1 innings over eight starts this year. He's surrendered at least five hits in all but one of his outings, but he's yet to really get hit hard. Luzardo is projected for a favorable home start versus the Nationals next week.

Suffers second loss Luzardo (2-2) allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and three walks with five strikeouts in 5.2 innings, taking the loss versus Atlanta on Thursday.

Impact Luzardo turned in another okay effort, though the five strikeouts matched his season low. The southpaw threw 106 pitches (68 strikes), but Atlanta's offense proved just a little better. His 3.66 ERA is fine, but a 1.40 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB through 39.1 innings don't suggest he can get much better unless he can start limiting baserunners better. Luzardo projects for a road start in Arizona next week.

Fans six in no-decision Luzardo allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over 6.1 innings in Friday's win over the Cubs. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

Impact Through six innings, the only damage against Luzardo was a solo homer by Nelson Velazquez in the third. Luzardo was then charged with one more run in the seventh. He'd allowed 10 runs over his previous three starts but he lowered his season ERA to 3.48 after Friday's outing. Luzardo has also forced double-digit whiffs in every start this year, including 13 against the Cubs. He's currently lined up for a rematch with the Cubs in Chicago next week.

Struggles in first loss Luzardo (2-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on eight hits and a walk over 4.1 innings against the Guardians. He struck out six.

Impact Luzardo held Cleveland off the board in the first two innings and set down the first two batters in the third. However, he surrendered a two-out triple to Amed Rosario, followed by back-to-back home runs from Jose Ramirez and Josh Bell. It's the second-straight outing where Luzardo couldn't make it out of the fifth inning after going at least six in his previous two starts. He has a 3.62 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 32:9 K:BB through 27.1 innings to start the year.
