Impact Jackson has been put to work since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, as he'll pick up his third consecutive start Sunday. The 25-year-old has produced three base knocks in his first six at-bats with Baltimore, but he's nonetheless expected to see his playing time take a hit once Tyler O'Neill moves past an illness and if Ryan Mountcastle (hamstring) is activated from the injured list during the upcoming week.

Heads to Baltimore The Orioles selected the contract of Jackson from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Impact Jackson takes the spot on the MLB roster vacated by Gregory Soto after he was traded to the Mets earlier Friday. Jackson started the season in Double-A but was promoted to Triple-A last month. He's slashed .377/.398/.682 with 11 home runs, 22 RBI, 28 runs scored and eight stolen bases since the promotion. Jackson is still waiting to make his MLB debut.

Promoted to Triple-A Jackson was promoted to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Impact Jackson will make the jump to Triple-A after batting .250 with four home runs, 18 RBI, 17 runs scored and two stolen bases over 176 at-bats in 44 games with Double-A Chesapeake this season. If he impresses with Norfolk, it's possible that Jackson could make his major-league debut down the road this year.

Signs MiLB deal with Baltimore The Orioles signed Jackson to a minor-league contract Monday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Impact Jackson played in 121 games with Double-A Binghamton in 2024, batting .206 with 19 home runs, 61 RBI, 49 runs scored and 11 stolen bass as a member of the Mets organization. He will now get a shot to prove himself with Baltimore ahead of the 2025 campaign.

Acquired for Leone The Mets acquired Jackson from the Angels on Tuesday in exchange for Dominic Leone, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Impact It's a pretty nice return for a rental reliever, as Jackson was a second-round selection in the 2018 MLB Draft and had posted a .768 OPS with 15 homers and 21 steals through 82 games this season at Double-A Rocket City. The 23-year-old infielder will presumably join up with the Double-A affiliate of the Mets in Binghamton.
