Signs MiLB deal with Baltimore The Orioles signed Jackson to a minor-league contract Monday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Impact Jackson played in 121 games with Double-A Binghamton in 2024, batting .206 with 19 home runs, 61 RBI, 49 runs scored and 11 stolen bass as a member of the Mets organization. He will now get a shot to prove himself with Baltimore ahead of the 2025 campaign.

Acquired for Leone The Mets acquired Jackson from the Angels on Tuesday in exchange for Dominic Leone, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Impact It's a pretty nice return for a rental reliever, as Jackson was a second-round selection in the 2018 MLB Draft and had posted a .768 OPS with 15 homers and 21 steals through 82 games this season at Double-A Rocket City. The 23-year-old infielder will presumably join up with the Double-A affiliate of the Mets in Binghamton.

Returns to action at Double-A Jackson has gone 1-for-7 with a double, a walk and two RBI in two games since Double-A Rocket City reinstated him from the temporary inactive list Tuesday.

Impact Jackson was out of commission for about two weeks while he was on the inactive list, but the missed time shouldn't hinder his development in any significant way.
