Impact Quero is expected to step back in as Biloxi's No. 1 backstop after he hadn't played for the club since July 21 due to a left hand injury. The 20-year-old slugged 13 home runs and hit .289 in 268 plate appearances with Biloxi prior to landing on the shelf.

Hits 7-day IL Quero has been placed on the 7-day injured list retroactive to July 23 due to left hand soreness, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Quero's injury comes at an unfortunate time, as the backstop had been raking to the tune of a .364/.500/.500 line in 12 games this month. On the plus side, the issue doesn't appear to be severe on the surface, so he could be back in action within the next week.

On fire at Double-A Quero is hitting .432 with three home runs, seven walks and five strikeouts over his last 10 games with Double-A Biloxi.

Impact The 20-year-old catcher is hitting .289/.367/.498 with a 10.8 percent walk rate and a 17.9 percent strikeout in 57 games as the fifth-youngest qualified hitter at Double-A. Quero is known for his excellent defense behind the plate, and this strong offensive showing could lead to him ranking as a top-20 real-life prospect by season's end.

Impact The 20-year-old reached the Double-A level for the first time this season, and after getting off to a slow start he has found his groove, posting a 1.164 OPS while tallying six long balls and 14 RBI over his last 13 games. Opinions on his future outlook vary to some degree, but he is one of the better catching prospects around the league and the top backstop prospect in Milwaukee's system.
