Impact Perkins was headed out of the big-league rotation after being optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday, but the Athletics recalled him one day later after starter J.T. Perkins struggled badly with his command in the second inning, issuing four walks -- matching his season high for an entire appearance -- including three straight that forced home a run without a ball being put in play. He settled down from there, with his only other damage coming on Isaac Paredes' two-run homer in the fourth after an error extended the inning. The victory was Perkins' first since April 18 after losing nine consecutive decisions. He's posted a 7.55 ERA since the beginning of July, including four starts with five or more earned runs.
