Cody Reed - Effective in IL return Reed (thumb), activated from the injured list earlier in the day, fired a perfect ninth inning in a loss to the Astros on Saturday, recording one strikeout.
Impact Reed got just half of his 14 pitches into the strike zone, but the 28-year-old still walked away with his fifth scoreless effort in six appearances this season. The southpaw sports a 2.08 ERA and three holds across the 4.1 innings covering his six trips to the mound in 2021.

Hunter Strickland - Effective in multi-inning outing Strickland fired two scoreless innings in a loss to the Astros on Saturday, allowing one hit while not recording any walks or strikeouts.
Impact The veteran right-hander lowered his ERA and WHIP to 1.69 and 1.03, respectively, with his latest strong showing. Strickland has produced scoreless efforts in six of his last seven trips to the mound, and despite the absence of strikeouts Saturday, he still sports an impressive 10:3 K:BB across 10.2 innings thus far in 2021.

Brandon Lowe - Continues producing at plate Lowe went 2-for-4 with a run in a loss to the Astros on Saturday.
Impact While his season slash remains an unsightly .196/.308/.370, Lowe is starting to finally show signs of life with the bat in recent games. Factoring in Saturday's production, the 26-year-old is hitting .375 (6-for-16) with a double, a solo home run, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and three runs over his last five games while posting a modest 16.7 percent strikeout rate over that stretch.

Pete Fairbanks - Simulated game on tap Rays manager Kevin Cash said he expects Fairbanks (shoulder) to pitch in a simulated game Monday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Impact Fairbanks' strained right shoulder apparently held up well while he threw in a live batting practice session Saturday, so he'll take the next step forward in the recovery process by pitching in a simulated game. If all goes well Monday, Fairbanks could be reinstated from the injured list by the middle of the week.
