Before he was waived by Cincinnati last August and then claimed by the Mets, Hembree enjoyed a brief run as the Reds' closer, converting nine of 11 save chances. He ultimately finished the season with an ugly 5.59 ERA, but a 4.31 FIP, 1.19 WHIP and 24.3 K-BB% all point to him pitching better than the ERA indicated.
