Impact Marquez was removed from his latest start in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Twins due to the injury. He will be eligible to return Aug. 5, but given the nature of the injury and the Rockies' place in the standings, there's a good chance that the right-hander will be on the shelf beyond the minimum 15 days. Tanner Gordon was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move and will replace Marquez in the rotation.

Impact Marquez rebounded from one of his worst starts of the season his last time out with one of his best. The 30-year-old struck out a season-high eight batters, bringing him up to 71 on the season in just over 95 innings pitched. The right-hander did surrender a home run, the fourth straight start in which he's done so, but that was the lone damage on the day.
