No trouble versus Mariners Stone (11-5) allowed two hits and two walks while striking out 10 over seven shutout innings to earn the win Monday over the Mariners.
Impact Stone's 10 strikeouts were a career high. He earned his second win in a row with this dominant performance, which was also the first time since his June 26 shutout against the White Sox where he didn't allowed a home run. Stone is now at a 3.44 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 105:34 K:BB through 128.1 innings over 23 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Rays.

Gavin Stone strikes out 10 as the Dodgers beat the Mariners 3-0 in Justin Turner's return to LA

Collects 10th win Stone (10-5) allowed one run on three hits and struck out six without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win Tuesday over the Brewers.
Impact Stone was sharp, throwing 61 of 86 pitches for strikes. The lone run on his line came from a William Contreras solo shot in the third inning. The long ball remains a problem for Stone -- he's allowed at least one homer in each of his last seven starts, and this was just the third time in that span he's been able to complete five innings. He's now at a 3.63 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 95:32 K:BB through 121.1 innings over 22 starts this season. Stone's next start is projected to be at St. Louis.
AUGUST 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Can't get through five frames Stone did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Phillies on Wednesday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.
Impact After surrendering a leadoff homer to Kyle Schwarber to open the contest, Stone managed to keep the Phillies off the scoreboard over the next three innings. However, the right-hander began to struggle in the fifth, giving up hits to two of the first three batters he faced before eventually being relieved by Alex Vesia with two outs in the frame. It marked the second start in a row in which Stone was unable to make it through five innings and he's now surrendered at least three runs in three straight outings. Stone has also coughed up at least one home run in six consecutive starts, posting a 19:7 K:BB over that stretch.
AUGUST 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Allows five runs in loss Stone (9-5) allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over four-plus innings to take the loss Friday versus the Athletics.
Impact Stone gave up multiple home runs for the second start in a row, as Shea Langeliers and Seth Brown each took him deep for solo shots in the fourth inning. Stone stayed in for the fifth, but he couldn't get an out, and Joe Kelly also allowed an inherited runner to score on a two-run home run by Brent Rooker. This was the fourth time in five outings that Stone has given up at least four runs. He now has a 3.63 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 87:31 K:BB across 111.2 innings through 20 starts this year. Walker Buehler (hip) will require another rehab start, so Stone is likely to get at least one more turn through the rotation, which is tentatively projected to be at home versus the Phillies. With River Ryan pitching well in his first stint in the majors, Stone's place in the rotation over the remainder of August is up in the air.
AUGUST 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Gets little help in loss Stone (9-4) took the loss Friday as the Dodgers fell 5-0 to the Astros, giving up four runs on nine hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.
Impact The Los Angeles offense couldn't get anything going against Framber Valdez and the Houston bullpen. but Stone didn't help his cause by serving up long balls to Alex Bregman in the third inning and Jon Singleton in the fourth. The right-hander did last six innings for the first time in four July starts, but his 6.27 ERA, 1.93 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB through 18.2 innings on the month are still rough. His spot in the rotation is safe for now, but once Walker Buehler (hip) is ready to return, Stone could be fighting for one job with River Ryan and Justin Wrobleski, and that's before considering any trade deadline additions for the team. Stone is scheduled to make his next start on the road next weekend in Oakland.

Steady in no-decision Stone allowed a run on six hits and struck out three without walking a batter over five innings Friday versus the Red Sox. He did not factor in the decision.
Impact Stone was on the hook for a tough-luck loss until Freddie Freeman's grand slam in the eighth inning saved the Dodgers. After allowing eight runs over 7.2 innings across his last two appearances before the All-Star break, this was an encouraging performance from Stone. The right-hander is now at a 3.19 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 79:28 K:BB through 101.2 innings over 18 starts this season. With the Dodgers potentially welcoming back Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) and Tyler Glasnow (back) next week, it's unclear when Stone will start again. The Dodgers open next week with a four-game set at home versus the Giants before traveling to Houston for a three-game series.

Falls to Philly Stone (9-3) took the loss Wednesday, giving up four runs on nine hits over 4.2 innings as the Dodgers were downed 4-3 by the Phillies. He struck out three.
Impact Kyle Schwarber drove Stone's third pitch of the game over the fence in left field, and the right-hander never seemed to regain his focus, leaving the mound after 77 pitches (52 strikes). Since firing a shutout against the White Sox on June 26, Stone has been tagged for eight runs over 7.2 innings in his last two outings. Despite the stumbles, he sports a 3.26 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 76:28 K:BB through 96.2 innings on the year. He'll get a chance to regroup, as he's not scheduled to make another start before the All-Star break.

Lasts only three innings Stone did not factor into the decision in a loss to Arizona on Wednesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks over three innings while striking out three.
Impact Stone battled with Arizona's lineup from the jump, allowing three of the first four batters to reach in the opening frame before allowing another three baserunners in the second. He then surrendered four runs on four hits in the third, including a two-run homer off the bat of Gabriel Moreno as the Diamondbacks evened the score at four runs apiece. The right-hander would not return for the fourth after needing 77 pitches to get through three frames, marking his shortest outing since April 7 against the Cubs. Stone had gone at least five innings in 11 consecutive starts coming in, though he's now walked multiple batters in five of his last six.

Allows four runs in loss Stone (4-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings.
Impact Stone reached at least six innings for a fifth consecutive outing but just missed out on a quality start this time around. The Diamondbacks scratched out a pair of runs on him in the second and another in the fifth before Christian Walker crushed a solo home run in the sixth to make it a 4-1 ballgame. Tuesday was Stone's first time giving up more than a run since April 20 and his first loss since April 7. He now owns a 3.60 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 34:17 K:BB in 50 innings and lines up for a road start against the Mets next week.
