Continues to impress
Jump allowed three hits and a walk while striking out nine over five scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Wednesday.
Impact
Jump's nine strikeouts reset his season high for the third start in a row. He's also kept runs off the board in three of his six career starts so far. The 23-year-old now has a 2.04 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 35:10 K:BB across 35.1 innings. He's also yet to allow a home run, which is particularly useful in a hitter-friendly home park. Jump's next projected start will be the biggest test of his young career, as he is lined up for a home start against the Dodgers.

Enjoys best start of career
Jump (3-1) earned the win over the Angels on Thursday, allowing one hit and issuing three walks while striking out seven batters over seven scoreless innings.
Impact
The Angels simply couldn't get to Jump, managing just one hit -- an Oswald Peraza double -- against him. The rookie left-hander established a career-best mark with seven punchouts and tossed his second scoreless start over his past three outings. Jump has yet to give up a homer through five appearances this season, and he's completed at least six innings in three of those starts. Jump appears to be in the big-league rotation to stay, as he's registered an excellent 2.37 ERA and 0.99 WHIP along with a 26:9 K:BB through his first 30.1 major-league frames.

Allows three runs in no-decision
Jump allowed three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six over five-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Friday.
Impact
Jump left two runners on base in the sixth inning, and Justin Sterner promptly served up a three-run home run to Cole Carrigg. It's just a no-decision for Jump, who has generally pitched well so far, though he's allowed seven runs over 10 innings in his two home starts (one in Sacramento, one in Las Vegas). He has a 3.09 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB through 23.1 innings across four starts in total. The rookie southpaw is projected to make his next start in Sacramento against the Pirates. It'll likely come down to Jump or Jack Perkins for the last spot in the rotation once Aaron Civale (shoulder) returns from the injured list, though Perkins has primarily been a reliever in the majors this season.

Blanks Astros in second win
Jump (2-1) notched the win Sunday against the Astros, allowing no runs on three hits and three walks in 6.1 innings. He struck out three.
Impact
Following a shaky major-league debut, which saw him give up four runs on nine hits, Jump has bounced back in a big way on the mound. The rookie left-hander has yielded a lone run across his previous two starts (13.1 innings), scattering three singles Sunday en route to his first scoreless outing of the year. Jump now sports a 2.45 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 13:5 K:BB across his first 18.1 frames, and he next lines up for a favorable home matchup versus the Rockies.

Shuts down Cubs for first MLB win
Jump (1-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings.
Impact
Making just the second start of his MLB career, Jump bounced back from a lackluster debut by shutting down Chicago's lineup after an early shaky stretch. The left-hander allowed singles to Nico Hoerner and Pete Crow-Armstrong in the first inning, with one eventually coming around to score. In the second, he hit the leadoff man and surrendered a one-out single, but that would be the final hit he allowed all night. Jump retired the final 14 batters he faced en route to securing his first MLB victory. While he only produced five whiffs Tuesday, the 23-year-old is slated to face a Houston lineup that owned a 23.2 percent strikeout rate during May in his next start.

Takes loss in MLB debut
Jump (0-1) allowed four runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out five batters over five innings in a loss to Seattle on Tuesday.
Impact
Jump was added to the 40-man and 26-man rosters ahead of Tuesday's contest and made his first appearance as a major-leaguer. The left-hander retired the first three batters he faced but then had a rough second inning, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk. Jump gave up another run on five hits and a hit-by-pitch over the following two frames but did manage to finish the start with a 1-2-3 fifth inning. He displayed decent strikeout stuff overall, notching 13 whiffs and five punchouts. Jump could be lined up for additional starts while Aaron Civale (shoulder) remains on the injured list.

Called up ahead of MLB debut
The Athletics selected Jump's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday versus the Mariners in Sacramento.
Impact
Luis Severino had initially been lined up to take the hill Tuesday, but he'll be pushed back to Friday while the Athletics open up a start for Jump, who will be replacing the injured Aaron Civale (shoulder) in the rotation. A 23-year-old lefty, Jump earned the chance to make his MLB debut after submitting a 4.74 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 56:20 K:BB across 38 innings over his nine starts in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. Jump will call another hitter-friendly environment in Sutter Health Park his home venue as he moves up to the big leagues, so fantasy managers will have to weigh whether the strikeout upside he brings to the table is worth the risk he carries of inflicting damage in the ratio categories.

Set to make MLB debut Tuesday
Jump will make his major-league debut Tuesday with a start against the Mariners, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Impact
It was reported earlier Tuesday that Jump was on his way to the big leagues, and now there's a specific date attached to his debut. Tuesday's previously scheduled starter, Luis Severino, will be pushed back. Jump has collected a 4.50 ERA and 56:20 K:BB over 38 innings with Triple-A Las Vegas this season and has spun 11 shutout frames with a 15:1 K:BB in his last two starts.

ROTOWIRE
On way to big leagues
The Athletics are slated to call up Jump from Triple-A Las Vegas to make his major-league debut, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Impact
He will enter the rotation in place of the injured Aaron Civale (shoulder/lat). Jump has had an up-and-down season at Las Vegas with a 4.50 ERA and 56:20 K:BB over 38 innings, but he's been really sharp over his last two outings in tossing 11 shutout frames with a 15:1 K:BB. It's unclear when Jump will make his debut, but he last pitched May 20 so he's already sufficiently rested.
