Donovan Walton hits two-run double to extend Athletics' lead over Red Sox

Exiting lineup with lefty starting Walton is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Impact Walton will hit the bench while southpaw Connor Prielipp toes the rubber for the Twins, but the left-handed-hitting infield should get the chance to play regularly versus right-handed pitching until the Athletics get Zack Gelof (knee) and Joshua Kuroda-Grauer (testicle) back from the injured list. Since joining the Athletics on July 12, Walton has gone 2-for-16 with a 7:5 BB:K and five runs in eight games.
