Delivers key hit in win Canzone went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's 4-3 win over Seattle.

Impact Canzone singled through a drawn-in infield to score Corbin Carroll from third base for the game-winning run in the top of the eighth inning. It was the third consecutive start for Canzone, who delivered two hits in all three with four RBI. All three starts have come at designated hitter, a position that's largely been handled by Lourdes Gurriel and Evan Longoria (back). Given Canzone's hot bat, along with Longoria on the injured and Gurriel slumping, he could get more opportunities in the short term.

Impact Canzone made a second consecutive start and is 4-for-9 with a pair of doubles, two RBI and a run scored. He remains a minor roster piece, as his presence in the lineup gave a break to Lourdes Gurriel (on Wednesday) and Alek Thomas (Friday).

Swats first MLB homer Canzone went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 7-5 loss to Atlanta.

Impact Canzone, who registered his first hit in the majors in Tuesday's series opener, belted his first MLB homer in the seventh inning to give Arizona a brief lead. His was the first of back-to-back homers, as Emmanuel Rivera followed up to increase the lead. Canzone has made three starts since being called up from Triple-A Reno earlier this month. The Diamondbacks are stacked in the outfield, and it's hard to see how Canzone can get significant plate appearances.

Selected for MLB debut Arizona selected Canzone's contract from Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Impact Canzone has put up excellent numbers throughout the minors since being selected in the eighth round of the 2019 MLB Draft out of Ohio State. That includes a .354/.321/.634 bating line with 16 homers and 71 RBI through 71 games this season at Reno. The 25-year-old can play both corner outfield spots and might also be an option at DH, though he's stepping into a fairly crowded situation with a NL West-leading Diamondbacks team. Canzone may have to impress right away to earn regular playing time.
