Spencer Torkelson - Back with big club The Tigers recalled Torkelson from Triple-A Toledo on Saturday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact Torkelson started the season with the Tigers, but he was sent down to the minors June 3 after opening the season with a slash line of .201/.266/.330 with four home runs and 18 RBI across 229 plate appearances. His numbers have slightly improved with Toledo, with the 24-year-old batting .239 with 11 home runs, 43 RBI and a .798 OPS. To make room on the 26-man roster for Torkelson, Bligh Madris was optioned to Toledo.

Impact Keith was held out of the Tigers lineup Friday and was described as "banged up." However, we now know the specifics of Keith's status and the team confirmed he isn't dealing with anything serious. Zach McKinstry is starting at second base Friday and would likely remain at second if Keith misses additional time.

Impact Miller got Jorge Polanco to fly out to end the top of the seventh inning, then pitched a clean eighth inning to ultimately pick up the win out of the bullpen. Impact Maeda's certainly shown improvement since he started working in bulk relief -- he's posted a 2.84 ERA across 19 innings in his last four appearances. Overall, the veteran right-hander is 2-5 with a 6.18 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 71:25 K:BB across 90.1 innings this year. Maeada's currently slated to start next week on the road versus the Cubs, though he could work behind an opener again due to his recent success.

Jason Foley - Picks up 16th save Foley earned the save in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Mariners, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.
Impact It's the first save for Foley in over a month and his first opportunity since July 12, when he allowed a run in a loss to the Dodgers. While Foley struggled to close out July, he's been pitching better since the start of August -- he's now made seven straight appearances (6.2 innings) without allowing an earned run. While the closing job in Detroit appears fluid, Foley is still likely the best bet for saves moving forward.
